The official Twitter account for U.S. Customs and Border Protection operations in the West Texas region is set to be deactivated after it retweeted posts by a former Trump administration policy adviser criticizing President Joe Biden’s border policies.
In a statement on the social networking site on Sept. 10, CBP commissioner Chris Magnus said the agency “has become aware of unauthorized and inappropriate content” posted to the account, and that CBP will “take action to deactivate the account and has referred the matter to Office of Professional Responsibility to investigate.”
“The tweets do not reflect the values of this administration and our work to rebuild a humane, orderly, and secure immigration system,” Magnus added….
