BREAKING: NYT, Fox News, CNN, NBC, ABC Concede Glenn Youngkin Won, McAuliffe Insists More Votes Must Be Counted

Major networks have all called the Virginia gubernatorial election for Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin, even as floundering Terry McAuliffe is apparently convinced more votes must be counted before the winner is declared.

At press time, National File can report that the New York Times, ABC, NBC, and CNN have all called the election for the upset Republican victor as of 11:43 p.m. Republicans have swept the state of Virginia, picking up several statewide victories, in a clear rebuke to Democrats on education, COVID-19, and other major issues.

Several other pundits and respected media outlets accurately reported that Youngkin won the race hours earlier. In fact, it became apparent that McAuliffe could not realistically overcome Youngkin’s lead when the Republican had a 10% advantage after most same-day votes were counted across the state.

Still, McAuliffe delivered a strange speech in which, with wine-colored lips, he slurred and declared that more votes must be counted. He then danced a jig as he walked off stage, and later tweeted sentiments that made clear he is contesting the election.  (READ MORE: Conservatives Clown On ‘Insurrectionist’ Terry McAuliffe For Refusing To Concede Election)

Some Democrats have likely looked toward Fairfax County, where technical difficulties stemming from a USB flash drive have delayed 20,000 votes by several hours. These appear to be ongoing despite the number of networks, analysts, and media outlets who have called the race for Governor-elect Youngkin.

Something similar unfolded one year ago in the 2020 election, when 15,000 ballots in another competitive county were mysteriously found on a USB thumb drive. After, the Republican challenger’s lead over the Democrat incumbent disappeared, as did President Donald Trump’s lead over Joe Biden.
