Democrat legislators and left-wing media are melting down across Virginia and DC after Washington Commanders defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio issued a reality check regarding the January 6th demonstrations and 2020’s summer of deadly Black Lives Matter riots. As the NFL has marched consistently towards the anti-American left, Del Rio has been an outspoken pro-American voice within the league.
The drama began after Washington Commanders defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio responded to a tweet from left-wing Brookings Institute and CNN analyst Norm Eisen. In the Tweet, Eisen linked to a page he’d written laying out his plan to use the January 6th Committee and the courts to throw 45th President Trump and others at odds with the radical left in prison for questioning the 2020 election.
“We must understand the whole story of January 6th,” Eisen tweeted above his web link, claiming that he has laid out the radical left’s case for “potential federal and state criminal charges for Trump and his allies.”
“Would love to understand “the whole story” about why the summer of riots, looting, burning, and the destruction of personal property is never discussed but this is,” the Commander’s Jack Del Rio responded, ending his tweet with the hashtag “#CommonSense.”

Later in the day, Del Rio stood his ground when pressed by members of the media, saying that Americans are being treated with “two standards” depending on which side of the political aisle they fall on, and calling the January 6th demonstrations against election fraud a mere “dust-up,” compared to the death and destruction wrought by the Black Lives Matter riots.
“I can look at images on the TV, people’s livelihoods are being destroyed, businesses are being burned down – no problem,” Del Rio said to reporters. “And then we have a dust-up at the Capitol, nothing burned down, and we’re going to make that a major deal.”
Following Del Rio’s media comments, far-left Democrat Virginia State Senator Jeremy McPike took to Twitter to claim that he will oppose pending legislation to fund the construction of a new Commanders’ stadium in Virginia because of his ideological differences with the team’s defensive coordinator, Jack Del Rio.
“Yup. Just sealed the deal to cast my vote as a NO,” McPike, whose reaction to Del Rio was widely mocked by Twitter users, wrote in response to Del Rio’s comments. “I think what’s burning down today is the stadium bill,” the Democrat went on in tweeting.
