Video: Ukraine Continues Their Shelling of Civilians in Donetsk as Biden Prepares Missile Delivery

Video footage recorded in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a Russian-speaking breakaway region of Ukraine, purportedly shows a Ukrainian rocket and artillery strike on civilians in the City of Donetsk, the unrecognized nation’s capital. Shells delivered by NATO countries were reportedly used in the attack; this as the Biden Administration has recently approved a massive missile delivery to Ukraine, offering arms capable of striking the Russian interior.

Donetsk officials are reporting 5 dead and 22 injured following the artillery attack that citizens of the Russian-speaking region of Ukraine are calling the worst since 2014 when the kinetic war between pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian government initially kicked off. Following Russia’s recent ground entry into the conflict, artillery attacks have become more common in Donetsk, and officials there are accusing the Ukrainian government of war crimes, saying they are deliberately targeting the Russian-speaking civilians who have largely welcomed the invaders as liberators.

Video and imagery of the strike and its aftermath were posted to Twitter by a pro-Russian account, and purports to show the “Ukrainian shelling of residential areas in Donetsk.” In one video of the attack, a residential building can be seen in flames as explosions are heard in the distance. Additionally, a local market was hit, killing a child and his mother as Ukrainian forces reportedly used rockets, as well as NATO-supplied artillery shells, to strike civilians.

“Over 80 MLRS rockets and an unknown number of artillery shells have hit residential areas of Donetsk today,” the Russians With Attitude account, which has closely covered the ongoing war, posted to Twitter. “Several people have died, including a mother and her 11-year-old son,” the tweet went on to say.

While corporate media outlets have largely neglected to report on the mass killing of civilians in Donetsk, the region has reportedly been home to some of the heaviest fighting of the entire Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Recently, another Ukrainian strike on the region killed 23 civilians, including children, when a Ukrainian missile hit the bustling city center, taking out a public bus.
